I'm Jule
I'm a multi-passionate marketing expert with big goals, business cheerleader, educator, mother, and I was born and raised in Germany.
Oh, Hello,
Things I'm very much into: coffee, hiking, great emails, tech tools, living an intentional life, and my family.
Trying to get used to F and inches since 2014.
Morning affirmations, cuddles with my adorable children + sexy husband, avo toast, barre class, and good skincare (Drunk Elephant, what!)
Guesting on podcasts, on coaching cals with my delightful clients, making dinner, salsa dancing.
Straight talk, strong drinks, short emails, and cutting out the fluff to make room for the very best.
Straight talk, strong drinks, short emails, data, and cutting out the 'meh' to make room for the very best.
In 2014 we packed two suitcases, our two cats Leo and Marble and stepped into one big adventure—outcome uncertain.
I didn't think that I'd ever run my own business.
Almost a decade ago (where did the time go??) my husband had this dream of starting a business in the US. When he first told me about it my heart sank.
Moving to a different country and away from my family had never been part of my life's plan. Not in the slightest, even though I admired everyone who made such a brave decision.
I didn't really had a plan for myself as I followed my husband's dream. The first couple years were hard in so many different ways. Emotionally, financially and also professionally.
Living in a new country where everything I ever knew was different required me to grow and reinvent myself. I started with a Marketing Manager position and also had to adapt to a different culture. In short: total Jule-overhaul on all fronts.
It was hard at the time but the best that could have happened in hindsight.
My passion had always been to market everything and anything as long as I was excited about it. That's my dad's fault (in all the good ways) because he had his own marketing agency when I grew up. He took me with him to help with events he was organizing, I observed how logos were created, hot to prepare for and hold a pitch, and all the sweat and tears it took to be your own boss.
Even though I had this great influence and role model, I ended up taking jobs as an employee for the first half of my career. I loved coming up with new ideas on how to market a product, making a process more efficient and creating new, innovative ways to delight customers.....and then I was waiting someone else to make a decision. It drained me...having my fire moved to the side burner was not how I wanted to keep working.
So much so that one day, I decided that I'm just going to go on my own.
But then the question was: what do I do?
I've always been multi-passionate...from event planning, to working at a digital marketing agency, driving across the state for an appliance retail brand ad their marketing person to running and marketing a retail online store for a Fortune 500 company.
But email has always been my secret love affair.
There's something about a beautifully crafted email that speaks to people in authentic way, making them want to hear more and get involved—it's a love letter from a brand to their fan. Like a good conversation between BFF's. And I'm all about connecting.
That's why I made it my chief mission to help business owners to bridge the gap between selling and communicating in an authentic way with the people that want to hear from them.
My Favorite Things
Traveling — especially to my family in Germany and our friends in Sardinia — I don't need the Caribbean.
